Enterprise Background

The customer is one of the largest manufacturers of edible ice in South Korea, accounting for 1/5 of the market share of edible ice in South Korea.

 

The average annual temperature in South Korea is 13 ℃ - 14 ℃, with four distinct seasons. Summer is hot and humid, winter is cold and dry, and sometimes it snows. Koreans like spicy food, and are influenced by western ice drinks. They especially like ice cup+juice, coffee, milk tea, and fruit drinks, so there is a great demand for ice.

 

The customer's original ice factory has four 30-ton tube ice machines, which are sold in the form of ice cubes in cups and bags, and are sold to bars, high-end clubs, restaurants and high-end supermarkets in Jiangnan District (South Korea's rich area). In order to seize more market share, we decided to expand production capacity and purchase a batch of new equipment.

The customer has designed the drawing of the edible ice factory, and hopes to purchase a new tube ice machine with a standard tonnage of 30 tons. The quality of the ice cube meets the local requirements for edible ice. The ice cube should be beautiful and flat, otherwise it will affect the sales, and it can be highly matched with the existing ice cup and bag packaging production line system, especially with high requirements for automation.

Pain point 1

The Korea Ice Making Association has a very high threshold for the entry of overseas equipment. It requires a series of qualification certificates. The items of qualification certificates are numerous and complex. Only after passing all inspections can the use of foreign equipment be approved.

 

Solution

CBFI Refrigeration provided hundreds of drawings, inspection reports, qualification certificates and other documents according to the requirements of the qualification documents for the entry of the ice maker of the Korea Ice Making Association given by the customer, helping the customer to successfully pass the inspection and approval of the Ice Making Association. CBFI equipment soon arrived at the customer's ice factory for installation and commissioning, and started production, completely according to the customer's expected procurement and installation time, without delaying the planned production.

Pain point 2

The customer is an old brand edible ice supplier in South Korea, and attaches great importance to its brand image. It is required that the ice cubes be clean and sanitary, and meet the requirements of the ice making association for the quality of ice cubes.

 

Solution

The tube ice machine ice tube used by the ice spring is made of imported 304 edible grade stainless steel to ensure that the ice is clean and sanitary;

Weld both ends of the stainless steel pipe in the evaporator, seal and isolate the ice-making water and refrigerant to prevent the refrigerant from entering the stainless steel pipe and polluting the ice-making water. Ensure that the ice produced is clean and sanitary.

The customer found that the ice made in summer is uniform and beautiful, and sells well, but the ice made in winter is very thick. The upper part of the ice is transparent, and the lower part is white and thick, which greatly affects sales.

 

Solution

The ice spring tube ice machine adopts an environmental adaptive system, reaches the water level through water level control, and automatically de-ices to avoid water temperature changes affecting the stability of the equipment.

Pain point 4

The customer's old tube ice machine had a problem of unsmooth de-icing, and the ice could not be released smoothly. One of the old tube ice machines was damaged due to unsmooth de-icing, which led to the damage of the stainless steel tube inside the ice maker, and the ice maker was directly paralyzed and could not be used normally.

 

Solution

CBFI adopts hydraulic expansion technology, which is the patented technology of CBFI. The stainless steel pipe is evenly expanded in the middle partition section to make it uniformly and tightly combined without gaps, so as to avoid the refrigerant flowing from the middle partition to the upper space, so that the water will freeze evenly in the whole pipe without causing deicing problems.

The customer put forward two requirements for Phase II project. The first is to reduce labor costs, and the second is to achieve non-contact production line packaging. The second phase of the project is a new edible ice processing workshop with three packaging production lines. Two packaging production lines are located on the second floor, one is the automatic packaging production line of cup ice, one is the automatic packaging production line of bag ice, and the other is the automatic packaging production line of bag ice on the first floor.

 

Solution

The ice spring adopts an integrated control system and is started by one-touch operation. It can be operated by a single worker without requiring multiple workers to check the ice volume and packaging status.
