Project background introduction
The Zhengzhou-Wanzhou Railway has a total length of 818 kilometers and a designed running speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After it opens to traffic, it is estimated that it will take 5 hours to reach Wanzhou from Zhengzhou, and more than 6 hours from Zhengzhou to Chongqing. The railway starts from Zhengzhou South Railway Station, connects to Zhengzhou East Railway Station through a tie line, passes through Kaifeng City (within Weishi County), Changge City, Yuzhou City, Pingdingshan City, Nanyang City, and Dengzhou City in Henan Province, and enters Hubei Province. Xiangcheng District of Xiangyang City, Nanzhang County, Baokang County, Shennongjia Forest District, Xingshan County, Badong County of Enshi Prefecture, and then enter Chongqing City, passing through Wushan County, Fengjie County, Yunyang County to Wanzhou District to connect the Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway . It is an important part of the Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-speed Railway (Zhengzhou-Chongqing). It is also the main high-speed passenger transportation channel connecting North China, Central China, and Southwest China, taking into account the intercity and tourist passenger flow transportation along the line.
